The TimeBank has three main goals:
Strengthen the fabric of our community.
Serve people and give them a means to serve.
Establish new relationships and meet real needs of our community members.
We recognize that each person has talents to share, and that the overall community is strengthened when neighbors help one another. For every hour that you help meet the needs of another member, you earn a time credit for the exchange. This time credit can then be redeemed for services from others, and the never-ending cycle of sharing continues.

Asheville-East Neighbors Network Statement
Asheville-East Neighbors Network is a voluntary association of seniors helping seniors to facilitate aging in place.
Our primary areas of activity are:
- Task assistance
- Social engagement
Caveat: Our members do not offer personal care or home health care. We do not become involved in financial or legal services or advice. Nor do we express or convey religious and/or political views.
We strive to not duplicate existing private and public sources of goods and services, but rather serve as a conduit and connector to available resources and create instruments for the delivery of services.
We are a loose confederation of seniors, with enough structure to sustain our organization.
We are open to all seniors who agree to give and receive services according to their needs, expertise, knowledge, and capabilities. We abide by the principles of mutual respect, collegial collaboration, and majority rule.
We do not have a dues or fee structure currently, but that might be reviewed at any time in the future as needs arise. We do, however, require all members to:
Submit the informational application
Sign a disclaimer of liability form for the organization and all of our members
